I am happy to say that I have worked in Rapid City for over two decades, offering psychological services to adults, adolescents and children. I have been able to work closely with families to help resolve behavioral issues, identify barriers to learning for school-aged children, and perform assessments for a wide range of psychological problems. Most insurance is accepted, and an appointment is typically available within one week. Some evening hours are available.
As way of background, I earned my doctorate in Florida and have been practicing in South Dakota since 1998, first at the VA medical center at Ft. Meade, then at the state psychiatric facility at Yankton. I have been in private practice in Rapid City since 2004. I have training in neuropsychological assessment and devote much of my attention to identifying root causes to behavioral and emotional disturbances.
My interest in forensic evaluations is to assist the courts come to a fair and practical resolution to any legal problems the individual may be facing. This often includes performing assessments of families caught in the midst of separation or divorce. Other psychological work includes evaluating children who have become embroiled in delinquency issues or problematic behavior at school. Competency to Stand Trial, psycho-sexual evaluations, and risk assessments round out my forensic practice.
